Confined Water Session
If
you
have
never
experienced
dry
suit
diving
or
if
it
has
been
a
while
since
your
last
dive
you
will
be
required
to
complete
a
confined
water
session.
During
this
session
you
will
learn
how
to
use
a
dry-suit
in
the
safe
confines
of
a
swimming
pool
prior
to
participating in the open water dives.
Open Water Dives
In
the
Mediterranean
on
the
Costa
Blanca
students
will
complete
2
Open
Water
dives
to
certify
as
a
PADI
Dry
Suit
Diver.
Each
dive
has
specific
tasks
designed
to
help
students
master
buoyancy
control and use of the dry suit whilst diving

Practical skills you’ll master in this course
Dry suit familiarization, safety checks entry techniques, bubble
check, buoyancy check, descent techniques.
Fin Pivot, hover, excess gas in feet emergency roll drill. Stuck
inflater emergency drill, Stuck exhaust valve emergency drill.
Ascent procedure, remove and replace scuba unit and weight belt
on the surface. Exit techniques, removal of dry suit, storage and
maintenance
Course Content
The course consists of knowledge development, 1 confined
water session and 2 open water dives which will cover:

The planning, organization, procedures, techniques,
problems and hazards of dry suit diving
•
Proper procedures for buoyancy control
•
Ascent & descent technique training
•
Routine, user-level, preventative maintenance and
performance checks on dry suits
